Emer joined the Optis Insurance team in 2021 as an Account Handler. Following her dedication and work ethic she assumed the responsibilities of Senior Account Handler in 2022, before progressing through to Administration Manager in 2024. Emer oversees the day-to-day operations of the London Market retention & new business administration team based in our Trim office.

Emer studied English & Philosophy at UCD before pursuing a career in insurance and gaining her professional Certificate in Insurance Practice.

Prior to Optis, Emer began her career in insurance with Zurich Insurance, where she held the role of a Market Facing Underwriter before progressing through to Senior Agent for the Direct retention team.

Ken joined Optis Insurance as Head of Compliance in May 2022 having previously served as Head of Compliance in KennCo Underwriting Ltd. Ken has extensive experience in the General Insurance industry, having worked for some of Ireland’s largest Insurers and Brokers in a career spanning more than 20 years.  Ken has an excellent understanding of the regulatory landscape and is responsible for all regulatory, compliance, risk management, and governance matters within Optis Insurance.  Ken’s academic achievements complement his practical experience, having attained various qualifications from the Compliance and Insurance Institutes.

Away from the desk, Ken enjoys coaching his local underage soccer team, rugby, running, and spending time with family and friends.
