Jonny began his new role at Optis Insurance in August 2024, bringing over a decade of experience in the insurance industry. His career began in Personal Lines insurance before transitioning into Commercial Lines, where he has since developed extensive expertise. Jonny has significant experience in the Irish Property & Casualty market, having worked with CFM Group in Ireland. Outside of work, John enjoys socialising, staying active at the gym, traveling, and exploring new dining experiences.

Ross has been part of the Optis Insurance team for nearly 10 years now. In his role as a Trading Underwriter, he focuses on assisting Optis’ panel of brokers with system and product queries, promoting the suite of commercial schemes, and offering professional advice as well as expanding the product range and cover.

Starting in the insurance industry 19 years ago as part of an insurance apprenticeship, Ross has since worked in a number of sectors including, Personal and Commercial lines, Health insurance, and Financial Services.

Outside of work, Ross enjoys watching sports and relaxing the mind through hiking, yoga, and meditation. He is also passionate about the past, present, and future of our psychology and mental health which led to his recent achievement of qualifying with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Richard began his insurance career in Wolfe Tone Street with the Axa Broker team. He joined Aaran Insurance in 2009 gaining experience across a broad range of personal and commercial lines.

Having spent over a decade in the retail space, Richard joined Optis Insurance in 2020 as a Trading Underwriter and is dedicated to maintaining the high standard of service that Optis is known for.

Outside of work, Richard is an avid fan of Munster Rugby and Liverpool FC and spent a year travelling around South Africa with friends before he settled into insurance.

Danielle is a Trading Underwriter working with the Optis Ireland MGA team, who specialises in Casualty and Property Insurance.

She joined Optis Insurance in 2020 initially filling an Accounts Administrator role, and six months later, became an Account Handler for the MGA. From here, Danielle gained her Certificate in Insurance Practice, and an interest in Commercial Insurance led to her current role. Danielle has a well-rounded knowledge of the business, having had various roles in Optis, but her day-to-day responsibilities mainly include handling both New Business and Renewals under the Pub & Restaurant and B&B schemes.

Prior to working with Optis, Danielle studied at Trinity College Dublin and spent a year travelling around Australia. In her spare time, she enjoys visiting new places.

Sinead started her insurance underwriting career in 2001 at Quinn Insurance in Ireland and the UK. After 9 years there, she moved to another UK company before joining Citynet Insurance Brokers in 2014. Following PIB’s acquisition of Citynet, she transitioned to Optis Insurance.

With more than 20 years of experience and expertise in Property and Liability underwriting in both Ireland and the UK, Sinead brings a wealth of knowledge to her role.

When she’s not working, Sinead enjoys travelling, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Dublin born, Clare O’Neill joined Optis Insurance in 2019, when Optis opened its London branch. Due to Brexit, Citynet’s Irish team moved over to Optis Insurance. Clare joined Citynet in 2016. She began her insurance underwriting journey in 2001 when she accepted the trainee underwriter role for FBD Insurance in Ireland, working there for 15 years.

With her, Clare brings 20+ years of experience and knowledge in Property, Liability, Motor, and Farm insurance underwriting, both in Ireland and the UK.

As Optis’s Underwriting Manager, Clare is charged with developing and growing the Commercial Combined and Liability DUA’s and oversees the day-to-day running of her department ensuring it maintains its high standards of service to Optis’s wide broker network clients.

Away from her desk, Clare enjoys travelling, sports, social networking and her motto in life is: “Everything happens for a reason”

In October 2021, Alex joined Optis Insurance’s New Business team as a Technician. He quickly progressed to an Account Handler, where he collaborated with account executives to manage Property and Casualty risks, working closely with producing brokers and underwriters. By July 2024, his outstanding performance earned him a promotion to Account Executive.

Beyond his work responsibilities, Alex finds enjoyment in social networking, playing football and golf, and traveling.

With more than three decades of experience in the insurance industry, Mandy began her career as a Personal Assistant to the CEO at Norman Butcher and Jones Ltd before eventually advancing to become an Account Handler.

In September 2000, she joined Citynet where she worked as an Account Handler, managing work for both the Irish and UK departments. As a result of Brexit in 2020, Optis Insurance established a new branch in London and Mandy transitioned to their team, focusing on Irish-based business.

Currently serving as Deputy Account Manager, Mandy supports the Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Property and Casualty business across the Trim office in Ireland and London. In her free time, Mandy enjoys playing darts, traveling, and social networking.

Jason joined Optis Insurance in January 2021. This move came as a result of Brexit, which prompted Citynet’s Irish team to relocate to Optis Insurance’s London branch in 2020.

With over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, Jason began his career in 2007 as part of the Small Business Underwriting Team at Hiscox. He has since gained extensive knowledge and expertise in Property and Liability insurance in both Ireland and the UK, having worked in both Broking and Underwriting.

Prior to joining Optis, Jason worked at Citynet from 2013. As a key member of the team, he collaborates closely with the CEO, Branch Manager, and Broking Manager to ensure that Optis delivers a high-standard service to all its clients. He is also responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of his department and leads operational teams in both London and County Meath, Ireland.

When he’s not at work, Jason enjoys travelling, with the United States being a favourite destination. He also loves Football, American Football, and Country Music. His personal motto is “Don’t put off till tomorrow what you can do today,” a quote attributed to Benjamin Franklin.

n 2021, Coady became an Account Handler/Broker at Optis Insurance’s London office. Before this, he worked as a Trainee Insurance Broker for a retail broker after finishing his A levels.
